Free energy and water from the sky

Saving Water

Reduce your Water Wastage

"Free water from the sky, why not catch it and store it?"

Saving Water

Water is now a precious resource. In Sydney we use more than 340 litres per person per day. Almost 20% of this is flushed down the toilet and 25% is used on the lawns and gardens. Sydney receives 1200mm per year in average rainfall. Collecting this from our own roofs is simple and practical. We now pay more than a dollar per kilolitre for tap water so collecting free water in tanks makes even more sense.

Rain water can be used for watering lawns and gardens and even for washing clothes and flushing the toilet. You can save money by installing a rain water tank.

Rainwater Tanks

Free water from the sky, why not catch it and store it? At more than a dollar per kilolitre it makes sense to use this water as much as we can. From watering the lawns and gardens to flushing the toilet and washing clothes, rainwater can be used all around the house.

Our Rainwater Tanks come in all shapes and sizes that can fit into almost any property. From slimline under eve tanks which hold 250 litres, metal and poly tanks, to under floor bladders and large circular tanks which hold 40,000 litres. All tanks come in many colours and finishes enabling a better blend into the surroundings. If you are considering a tank for your home or business, we can advise you on the best type to fit your water use.

Greywater

Greywater is water from the washing machine, kitchen sink and shower, some of which can be used for watering lawns and gardens. Black water, from the toilet should never be used unless there is an appropriately designed and installed leech field or filtering tank. Greywater should be used immediately, directly from the washing machine as it is not healthy to store. Only use rinse water and only use Greywater safe bio-degradable laundry detergent.

Greywater Diverter

A Greywater Diverter allows you to water your lawns and gardens using greywater from the washing machine, saving fresh water and saving money. It comes with a 20-metre outlet hose, which can be connected to a watering system. A built-in pump automatically activates whenever water is diverted into the system.

Showers and Aerators

Approximately 25% of the water we use in our home is from showering. Almost 40% of the energy we use is from hot water and most of the hot water we use is in the shower. So saving water in the shower and the kitchen and bathroom taps not only saves water but also reduces greenhouse gases and energy costs.

Our efficient showers provide a wide powerful full shower with a built-in massager which uses only 9.5 litres per minute (typical showers can use 20 litres per minute). Replacing the shower head is the most cost effective way to reduce greenhouse gases along with energy and water costs. The Siroflex Kitchen Aerator is a double action swivel shower, perfect for kitchen rinsing while saving water.
